"Bold colors carry my vision of the world with them"
Sarfo Emmanuel Annor is a visual artist who plays with color to share the stories and
dreams of young people from Ghana. He revives the art of portraiture by capturing
colorful images of the local youth, translating the dynamic and happy story of
contemporary Africa.
Visually appealing and emotionally resonant, Sarfo Emmanuel Annor's work fosters
cross-cultural dialogue by presenting the beauty of African culture to a global audience.
Captured through the lens of his phone, the untold stories of his daily life communicate
the essence of his homeland. The bold and vibrant colors he chooses are not just a
palette; they are a language through which he communicates the soul of his subjects.
His art is not passive; it demands engagement and acts as a window into a world that
may be geographically distant but emotionally universal.
He has been featured in The Guardian, Another Magazine, Beaux Arts Magazine,
Cultured Magazine, Art News Africa, Aesthetica Magazine, Perfect Magazine and Manju
Journal. He was also included in a list of the 'hottest creatives of 2022’ by i-D Magazine.
His work is shown extensively internationally, with recent exhibitions including "Youthful Spirits", The Bridge Gallery (2025), « Life in Color », The Bridge Gallery (2023); « Africolour », Diginner Gallery, Tokyo (2024), Les Rencontres d’Arles (2024), Lianzhou Foto Festival, China (2024) and recent art fairs such as Luxembourg Art Week, 1-54 Marrakech or Cape Town Art Fair.
