Yanma Fofana Fany is a French artist of Ivorian descent. After a preparatory year at the École municipale des Beaux-Arts de Gennevilliers, she entered the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2018. During her studies, she took part in an academic exchange at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. She graduated from the Paris institution in 2023 with the jury's highest honours (félicitations du jury) and completed her training with a postgraduate programme in 2024, during which she spent several months in residence at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Austria. In 2025, her work was shown in the exhibition Banlieues chéries at the Musée national de l'histoire de l'immigration, Palais de la Porte Dorée, Paris. In 2026, Yanma Fofana Fany became the inaugural laureate of the Maison Perrier Art Prize, which includes, among other benefits, mentorship from Amoako Boafo during a residency at dot.ateliers in Accra, Ghana.
